United '08 Extreme Encounter

What an awesome time! United '08 was great! Brad Bennett and the Real Encounter Team put on an exhibition with a dirt bike and two BMX bikes. The stunts performed were of such a high caliber, that the crowd of students were amazed and gave the team their complete attention. Brad presented the Gospel between performances. A number of students made decisions that night! Praise God!

The kickoff for United included the band Losing Altitude. Talk about high energy! Had a hard time keeping up with front man Aaron! Look for them somewhere down the road.

CARWASH MAN!

Introducing CARWASH MAN! His mission is to direct the good people of Salem to the carwash and stop any evildoers from going any further! He is more powerful than the entire army of scrubbing bubbles! Able to wash dozens of cars with a single swipe of his sponges! It's CARWASH MAN!

Sorry Curt. Had to have a little fun with it! Anybody that stands in the middle of the intersection for four hours with sponges stuck all over him needs to have his own post! I know it's corny, but what do you expect from this late at night? All in good fun! Thanks buddy!

United '08 Carwash & Roadblock

What a great day it was today! In case you missed it, today was the carwash and roadblock fundraisers for United '08. There was a crew at Radford's carwash. . . washing cars. . . . and a group at the crossroads collecting donations and handing out fliers with United info on them. Thanks so much to all of the youth and adults that showed up to work in both locations! We believe it was a great success! And a huge thanks to Scott Radford for allowing us to use his carwash on what would have been a busy day for him, thank you!

And in case you haven't heard. . . United '08 is coming very soon! United '08 Extreme Encounter is scheduled for September 20 at the Salem High School gym at 7:00 PM. Brad Bennett and the Real Encounter Team will be there spreding the gospel through extreme sports including moto-cross, BMX bikes, skateboards, and acrobatics. It is simply going to be an amazing time! This event is for all students in grades 9-12. Check out Real Encounter's website for what you can expect:
